Winemaker, Georgetta Dane, appreciates capturing the full characteristics out of the grapes in each of Chloe’s wines. Chardonnay from Sonoma County, Pinot Noir from Monterey County, and Red No. 249, a selective blend from California’s North Coast regions—showcase high-quality fruit that communicate each unique varietal and AVA. Georgetta Dane’s path to becoming the Winemaker for the Chloe Wine Collection began halfway around the world. Born and raised in Romania, Georgetta earned a master’s degree in food science at Galati University. In 1998, her husband applied for a U.S. visa on a whim, and eight months later—on the day of their daughter’s baptism—the family received green cards. Despite having careers, a family and a home under construction, Georgetta and her husband risked it all and immigrated to the U.S. in hopes of living the American Dream. Today, as Winemaker for the Chloe Wine Collection, she marries her old world European roots with a contemporary American lifestyle to craft wines fit for sophisticated and modern wine lovers.
